Week 10 Swim Team News (July 14-20)

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SWIMMERS OF THE WEEK: Our swimmers of the week are: Violet Edgerton (7U), Michael Dodson (6U), and Olivia Rivas Rivera (pup). Violet really stepped up this week and did an amazing job on her relays at Cary City! Michael is always ready to swim and has improved so much since the beginning of the season. Olivia always shows up to practice with a big smile on her face and stays until the end of practice, putting a lot of energy into every lap. Swimmers of the week receive a gift card in recognition for their hard work. Congratulations Violet, Michael, and Olivia!

COACH'S CORNER:

  • Coach Allie: This week was so successful and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. We got another win for our last home meet of the season and our kids did amazing at Cary City keeping high spirits and swimming fast! With our last meet on Tuesday, I am excited to see everyone at the last couple practices and at the banquet on Friday. Each and every one of these kids deserves to be celebrated for their hard work this season! As always, feel free to reach out with questions or concerns at [email protected].
  • Coach Sophia: Hello everyone! I want to start out by saying that I’m so proud of everyone who showed up to Cary City this past Saturday, regardless of if they were swimming or not. Everyone was in high spirits despite the heat and did a great job swimming. This upcoming week will be the last week of practice, with our last practice on Tuesday morning. I hope to see a lot of swimmers show up to our last swim meet and at the banquet on Friday. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns at [email protected]!
  • Coach Lilly: Hello parents! Our last practice will be Monday July 14th, and I invite everyone to participate, even if Mondays are not your designated days for practice. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to [email protected]!

CARY CITY MEET RECAP: What a fun, hot day at Cary City Meet! Several of our swimmers broke (or tied) team records at the event, and many more scored personal bests at the event. While our Harry Potter themed tent did not win the spirit award, we had fun showing the NC Courage Mascot, Roary, our spirit with our cheering and our dancing. Shout out to the coaches and Jeannette Selvaggi for making the Cary City Meet such a success!
