About Us
The Oxxford Hunt Swampfoxxes have been a member of the Tarheel Swimming Association (TSA) league for 31 years, since 1988. We are a neighborhood seasonal (May-July) swim team, comprised of swimmers ages 4-18. The purpose of our swim team is to instill a lifelong love of swimming, to provide a healthy active outlet for our neighborhood kids during the summer break from school, and to build a program where every swimmer has the opportunity to achieve their potential.
Swim team should be a challenging, positive and rewarding experience for all swimmers and their families. We strive to teach our swimmers to do their very best at every practice and meet, for themselves as well as their team. The coaches, parents, and swimmers are all working together to make our swim team the best it can be. We value everyone’s effort and reinforce each member’s importance to the whole team. Whether your swimmer is a seasoned teen or a beginner, we strive to record all “personal best” times and pay close attention to hard work and efforts made to improve. Meaningful friendships formed during the swim season often carry over well into the rest of the year. We want everyone to be able to count on each other, to respect one another and to have fun getting to know one another.
