Swampfoxx Families,

If you've been down to the pool, you probably saw the pool resurfacing work that is now complete. The water is also filled and looked so enticing the past few (hot!) days. More information about the May 13th kickoff event and start of practices (also May 13) will come next week, but for now, we want to share the following updates:

1. We are still in search of a head coach! We can piece it together with some of the returning assistant/junior coaches, but it sure would be nice to have a dedicated coach (or 2 if head coaches wanted to split)! Details about the coaching position are posted here: https://oxxfordhunt.swimtopia.com/news/234815. Please share with your networks to help us recruit someone!
2. Team swim suits should be available at Kiefer Aquatics, located in the Harris Teeter plaza at Maynard and High House. We are going with the Rise print suit again this year (see images below). Female suits are $36 and the male jammers are $30. You do not need to purchase one to be on the swim team, but many families like to purchase in advance of the season. There is always the swim suit exchange box that will be available at the pool when practices start for families to trade suits kids have outgrown.
3. Registration will remain open until May 31, so please continue to share information about the swim team with any neighborhood friends, or new neighbors. We have over 100 swimmers already registered (and a really great distribution across all age groups and genders)!
4. Save the date for the 1st practice (5-6p and 6-7p practice times) and kickoff event Monday May 13! More details about the kickoff event will come next week. 
5. If you are a new family, or generally want to be sure you know what swim team is about, there was a lot of information contained in your registration email confirmation. You are always welcome to e-mail the board at [email protected]. Be sure to like and follow the "Oxxford Hunt Swim Team" Facebook page, and ask to join the "Swampfoxx Parents Forum" Facebook group to connect with other families, ask/answer questions, and generally stay up-to-date with what's going on. Please answer the joining questions for the parents forum so we are sure it is only OXH Swampfoxx families in the group.
