Social Tonight, July 4th Party, and Cary City Meet Details!
IT'S FUN FRIDAY!!
Reminder that tonight (Friday June 30) Kona Ice will be at the pool from 6-7:30pm. Each swimmer (including Pups!!) will get a voucher that can be used for a free Klassic Cup on the 30th (or at any Kona truck around the Triangle this summer). Find Katie Richards to get your voucher (she’s got the team shirts too!) Spread the word to neighbors too - the team receives 10% of sales for anyone who purchases cups.
July 4th PARTY: We’ll be having our annual 4th of July party on Tuesday July 4 from 12-4pm. The SwampShack will be open throughout the event. We'll have a DJ from 12-2pm and fun pool games starting at 1pm. Sign ups are available for food donations and volunteer positions on the website (https://oxxfordhunt.
CARY CITY MEET! The 40th annual Cary City Invitational Meet will be on Saturday July 15th at Cary Swim Club (rain date Sunday 7/16). Liz Miller has created this very helpful guide on how to register and pay for registration and the t-shirts. For those who have already registered, please go in and register for your swimmer's strokes. If you haven't registered, please go to https://oxxfordhunt.swimtopia.com/swim_meets and select the registration for 10 and under or 11+ based on your child's age. Registration is due by Wednesday July 5th.
The theme for Cary City Meet is Spongebob Squarepants!
We encourage swimmers and parents to wear our team t-shirt. Shirts can be ordered from the registration page (at the bottom) and must be ordered by Tuesday July 4th.
The Cary City Meet committee is hard at work planning the tent decorations.
- Some things that are needed to complete the look include cardboard boxes and pool noodles (especially those that are cracked/broken).
- Volunteers are also needed to help with a kid's craft (jellyfish made out of paper plates and streamers) after practices on Friday July 7th.
- A volunteer is needed to create some flower temporary tattoos (see attached image)
- Attached you'll find some design ideas and the committee welcomes volunteers to help create the Spongebob look! Contact Liz Miller or Carla Delcambre if you are interested!
