It's Meet Day!

Today we are at Brighton Forest. Address: 2625 Brighton Forest Drive, Apex, NC 27539 - about 25 minutes from Oxxford Hunt. It seems Brighton's base school is year-round so they have had some requests to accommodate swimmers who are graduating 5th grade today. We were able to get swimmers to be able to compete in 4 strokes instead of 3, but there were conversations about moving relays to the end. Like last week, please remain flexible given some of the requests they've had and the unpredictable weather and remain attentive to these changes.

Reminders that were sent out Sunday:

• Arrive by 5:15pm to get settled and numbered
• Warmups will begin at 5:30pm sharp.
• Meet will start no later than 6p
• Swim meet officials meeting at 5:45pm outside of pool entrance
• Swimmers should wear their team suit, swim cap, and goggles. Note: any swim cap you wear must be plain or an Oxxford Hunt team cap.
• Parking: Brighton has very limited parking and very narrow streets. Limited parking will be available in the pool parking lot, dirt/grass lot next to the pool parking lot, around the outer perimeter of the traffic circle on Brighton Forest and then on the streets off of the traffic circle. Please be respectful of folks' lawns and stay off their grass, but park as close to the edge of the road as possible and only park on the right side of the street. Brighton will have volunteers helping to direct parking, and please carpool if you can.
• Food: They are cash only and will offer pizza, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, chips, candy, soda and water.
• Fun Relay: Brighton would like to do a fun relay with coaches, and parents after backstroke event. Let us know if you are interested in swimming the parent relay!
