Hello Swampfoxx Families,

As we prepare for another awesome swim season, the board has determined that pursuing non-profit status for our swim team would be beneficial. Benefits would include: 

• Tax exempt status for capital purchases 
• Increased access to sponsors 
• Ability to have spirit night fundraisers 
• Ability to use payment methods within Swimtopia 

Non-profit status is something that USA Swimming recommends for all swim clubs, but is something we have not had in the past. In order to achieve this goal, there are some things we need to do as a club, and we are asking for your help. 

We are looking for volunteers to help with the upfront work to be recognized as a non-profit swim club. While experience in setting up a non-profit club would be awesome, anybody who is interested in helping is welcome. Some of the things we’ll need help with include, but are not limited to: 

• Establishing by-laws for our swim team 
• Establishing Articles of Incorporation 
• Naming our swim club for EIN purposes 
• Determining a payroll solution for paying our coaches
