Oxxford Hunt (OXH) swim team parents,

As temperatures have crept into the 60s and sometimes even the 70s this month, perhaps you have been like me, dreaming for summer weather and the pool. While mid-May may feel far away, your Oxxford Hunt Swampfoxxes swim team board has been hard at work preparing for a fun and engaging summer swim team season. In particular, we want to share with you the following announcements:

1. Oxxford Hunt has a new website for summer swim team! You can find it at http://oxxfordhunt.swimtopia.com. The old Team Unify website and app are are no longer available and content has been merged to the new site. We've started using this new team management platform and will continue to use it throughout the season.
2. The new website details important information about schedules, signups, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and sponsors. You can find current schedules/dates for meets and practices. We will continue to update the site as registration and kickoff events are planned. Registration will take place in April (date to be announced soon), and the season will begin mid-May. Meets have been scheduled for June 14-July 19, with 3 home and 3 away meets now that we are back to in-person competition.
3. We encourage you to download the SwimTopia Mobile App (in the App Store or Google Play) to receive Team Alerts for weather delays/cancellations, sign up for meets, view your volunteer commitments and swim results, and more.
4. We are still searching for a head coach and would appreciate your help getting the word out. A recruitment flyer is attached for you to share widely with any contacts you may have. The experience of our swimmers is dependent on the leadership/support from our coaches, so please help us find a coach who can facilitate a summer of fun, learning, and friendship.
5. Consider promoting your business and contributing to the success of the Oxxford Hunt summer swim team by becoming a sponsor.There are various levels of sponsorship which can provide your business (or the business of a friend/colleague) with tremendous visibility on team t-shirts and our team banner.
6. Another way to help support the swim team's fundraising effort includes participating in our blood drives. The team receives $20 for each successful donation. Bring a friend to donate with you, or encourage someone else to donate. Our next drive will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 3:30pm - 7:00pm and registration is available on the Blood Connection website.
7. The Marlins of Raleigh (MOR) swim team are offering pre summer swim clinics at different locations, one of them being their Silverton location in Cary. If you are interested in having your swimmer get some practice before the season begins, please see the attached flyer for details. Registration opens next week, on March 1.
8. Communication can also be tracked on the OXH swim team facebook page and the Swampfoxx parent's forum facebook page. 

As we prepare for another season, please let us know if you have interest in volunteering your time/expertise, have suggestions for improvement, or have any questions. The board is comprised of volunteers from the neighborhood.
