Oxxford Hunt Swampfoxxes

The 43rd annual Cary City Invitational Meet will be on Saturday, July 11 at Scottish Hills Recreational Club.

This major local event brings together multiple swim teams from around our area for a full day of swim fun! This is a great tradition for our Swampfoxxes to participate in. Especially since we have won the coveted Spirit Award Trophy 6 of the last 10 years! The event includes dancing, games, mingling with other teams, and of course, swimming :)

FAQs:

• Theme: Every year our OXXH Swampfoxx coaches pick a theme, this year our theme is Alice in Wonderland! We will have a team building craft social in place of practice on Friday, July 10 - so everyone on our team can help support and participate in the meet, regardless if they are attending. Swimmers may opt to purchase a themed shirt for $15.
• Swimmer Declaration: This meet is outside our 'regular' swim meet cycle and has additional fees. We ask that families pay the $20 per swimmer entry fee (or $10 for 6&u) by Monday, June 15. The fee includes our team tent rental and entry fees for swimmers to participate. After paying the swimmer entry fee, you will receive a link to declare your swimmer(s)' strokes (meaning what events they want to swim in) and if your swimmer(s) is available for relays. 
  • Swimmers ages 6 & Under may register for no more than two individual events please note that all 6&Unders must swim 25 yards independently.
  • Swimmers ages 7 & Up may register for no more than three individual events.
• Volunteer Requirement: In addition to the meet volunteer needs (which are indicated by the Cary City Meet Committee), we will have volunteer needs for setting up and tearing down our team's tent space. Additionally, our team provides family-donated meal and snack items for swimmers and families who attend the meet. All volunteer opportunities will be posted on our Signup Calendar when available.

1. OXXH families are asked to pay the $20 per swimmer entry fee (or $10 for 6&us) by June 15 (item listed below).
2. Purchase your Alice in Wonderland themed shirt(s) for $15 each (see below).
3. Save the date for our craft day - June 10 (in place of afternoon practices).
4. Get ready for volunteer opportunities - which will be posted as soon as we receive them!
